If I was hit by a car on my way home from school

I would skid on the pavement

like a rock across water.

If the person who hit me did not care to stop

I would chase after them

Like the Road Runner on Looney Tunes (Meep, Meep).

If I was hit by a car on my way home from school

I would call my Mom and ask her for help

Like a good child would do.

If no one saw the accident

I would have to explain to the police what happened

Like a victim of crime.

If I was hit by a car on my way home from school

I would get to ride in a fast ambulance

Like the ones you see on TV.

If I was hurt really bad from the collison

I would have to stay in the hospital

Like a patient recovering from surgery.

If I was hit by a car on my way home from school

I would try to be strong

Like a rope bridge across a ravine.
