I am curious and determined
I wonder how big the universe actually is
I hear fall leaves crunching under my feet
I see the world's wonders through the lens of my camera
I want to be well-respected and loved
I am curious and determined
I imagine a world resembling a Monet
I feel contentment as I sit in an over-stuffed chair
I touch the ever-growing stack of work on my desk
I worry that I am not making an impact
I cry when those I love are hurting
I am curious and determined
I understand the complexity of politics
I say everyone should receive an education
I dream of a white picket fence and an ideal family
I try to avoid roller-skating and laundry
I hope for a world of devoid of genocide
I am curious and determined

Ms. George,
Thank you for your poem. It made me learn more about who you are and I realize that we have alot in common. (Especially the part about avoiding roller skating and laundry!).
